Nitin Khanna – Chief Executive Officer

Prior to becoming CEO of MergerTech, Nitin was the founder, Chairman and CEO of Saber Corp., one of the largest providers of state government solutions in the country. Nitin started Saber in July 1998 and helped grow it a minimum of 50% each year.

Saber’s growth was celebrated by an Inc. 500 award in both 2006 and 2007, the Deloitte Fast 500 award, and the #1 spot on Oregon’s Fastest Growing Companies list in 2007. This dramatic growth led to a significant investment by Accel-KKR Private Equity in 2005 and to the eventual sale of the company for $460MM to EDS in December 2007. Nitin then assumed leadership of EDS’ government business operation that included Saber.

Prior to Saber, Nitin held a number of positions in Consulting and Education at Oracle Corporation. He holds Master’s and Bachelor’s of Engineering degrees from Purdue University.

Karan Khanna – President

Karan was most recently the founder, President and COO of Saber Corp. a Portland based national firm focused on providing technology solutions to government clients. Karan was the key driver to ensure successful implementations of Saber projects for clients; his primary responsibilities included Project Delivery, Operations, and Recruiting & Hiring.

Saber’s success, based in large part on its on time and on budget delivery and enviable record of service and reputation, led to a significant investment in the company by Accel-KKR Private Equity in 2005 with an eventual sale of the company for $460MM to EDS in December 2007. It was through this on-time and on budget delivery that Saber obtained a high degree of profitability and gained the reputation that allowed it to win over 80% of its bids.

As President & COO, Karan managed over 1500 employees spread across the US and India and managed a budget of over $75MM. He worked with clients’ business leaders to create long term plans to improve efficiencies and reduce cost.

Karan has a Bachelor of Commerce from SD College in India.

Patricia Wegner – Chief Operating Officer

Patricia is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and client services at MergerTech. She has worked in mergers and acquisitions focused in the technology sector for the last thirteen years. Pat has 28 years of experience in the IT industry, including software product development, marketing and operations for product distribution, and development and marketing of value-added services for national corporate resellers.

Prior to launching MergerTech, Pat was VP and General Manager of Martin Wolf Strategies, a channel consulting practice of Martin Wolf Associates. She worked with IT sector companies including Microsoft, CDW Corporation, Altiris (now Symantec) and LANDesk/Avocent (now Emerson) to develop strategic partner relationships for indirect sales. Pat worked for fourteen years for ComputerLand Corporation in marketing and operations and its parent Merisel, Inc., where she was responsible for advertising, promotions, and value-added programs. Pat has a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from San Francisco State University.

Martin Wolf – Chairman

Marty is President of Martin Wolf Associates and Chairman of MergerTech. He has been involved in over 80 technology M&A transactions over the past 13 years. Marty also founded the Datago distribution business of ComputerLand Corporation in 1991. The company had revenues of $287 million in the last quarter under his leadership before it was sold in 1994. Prior to that, he served as President of the Franchise and Distribution Division of ComputerLand Corporation, a $1-billion plus franchiser of computer resellers, and as Executive Vice President of Merisel, Inc., a $6-billion distributor.

In addition to his responsibilities as Chairman of the firm, he actively manages transactions and acts as a counselor and advisor to CEOs and executive management of select technology firms. Marty received a bachelor’s degree from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, and is a FINRA registered broker.

Brady Flaherty – Executive Vice President of Business Development

Brady is responsible for new client acquisition. He brings over 15 years of experience in the IT sector. After 10 years as a Sales Manager at HP, serving in the Enterprise Systems and Emerging Markets divisions, Brady worked as an IT consultant for 2 years at Channel Enterprise Systems.

He moved on to start Altos Technology Group, which was named one of the fastest growing companies by the Sacramento Business Journal and CRN. After 4 years, the company was sold in 2008 to a worldwide software provider. Brady attended San Jose University where he received his BBA in management information systems and marketing.

Prashant Dubey – Executive Vice President

Prashant is an Executive Vice President, focusing on sectors such as Legal, Compliance & Information Management. Over the past 25 years, Prashant has been a senior operating executive at legal, compliance & information management software and technology enabled services companies, as well as pharmaceutical, life sciences and biotechnology companies where he led efforts that resulted in significant M&A events for the companies. Examples include Fios Inc., Baxter International, where Prashant created joint ventures in Asia; ABC Technologies – acquired by SAS Institute; ProSight – acquired by Primavera (now Oracle PPM); Tripwire – filed for IPO Fall 2010; Covansys – acquired by CSC. Prashant has published numerous books and articles focused on the legal, compliance and information management industry such as Litigation Readiness: Mastering the Inevitable.

He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from The University of Chicago, and an MBA in Finance & Strategy from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.

BM Chittaranjan – Practice Leader

BM Chittaranjan (BMC) is a Practice Leader at MergerTech, focusing on the Healthcare IT Solutions sector. The Healthcare IT Practice is part of MergerTech’s Legal, Compliance, Information Management & Healthcare group.  Over the past 25 years, BMC has helped corporations achieve profitability, increase revenue and build product and service portfolios. He has led companies that serve clients throughout North America, Europe and Asia, across numerous industries, such as healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical and IT Enabled Services. He has worked in a senior operating capacity at companies such as Glaxo India, ICI, Ranbaxy and Unichem.  In addition to his role as a Practice Leader at MergerTech, BMC leads efforts to develop and commercialize products and solutions for Health IT Plus, a division of QSSI, a leading provider of Health IT Solutions to federal agencies. He has been a senior operating executive for private companies where he led efforts that resulted in significant M&A events. Examples include IDS Infotech Ltd., and Manipal Group of companies. While at Manipal Group of companies, he assisted Antfactory, an incubation fund as an operational analyst.  His expertise in Healthcare IT spans from developing solutions, creating and implementing go-to-market strategies to analyzing IT operations to reduce risk and cost. He has successfully designed and deployed a unique automated compliance and risk management solution and is in the process of developing health IT solutions for the US healthcare industry to meet the challenging requirements of meaningful use and EHR implementations.  BM obtainted a  Sc. in Math, from the  University of Gulbarga.
